Karl Perkins

Before CrossFit Karl was in the Army for just over 5 years, he then obtained his Personal Trainer qualifications and worked in a leisure gym for over a year.

Karl came across CrossFit through Facebook. He saw a clip of ‘What is CrossFit’ and as an ex-military man was sold straight away for the community and the fact that everyone suffered together! He discovered the closest one to CrossFit Central London and he popped along to check it out. He was hooked and now coaches at both CrossFit Central London and CrossFit Vauxhall.

Karl has always aimed to better himself as a coach and regularly attends different courses to learn different styles and new techniques. But now he is going to take some time out and gain more experience to see if he can help people push towards competing.

When he’s not working he is the most chilled out guy and just relaxes at home as much as he can.

First WOD: My first WOD was ‘Cindy’ and all I remember was standing around a lot trying to get the pull ups done!

Favourite WOD: This has to be ‘Amanda’, I’ve always loved throwing a barbell around and muscle ups.

Least Favourite WOD: 7mins of burpees……it’s 7min of burpees!!!!! Need I say anymore!!!

What is your guilty pleasure? Yum-Yums!!!!

What is your favourite wind-down or relaxation? Stretching & sleeping.

What is your biggest achievement? Passing out of Army training and fighting for my country.

  • BWLA Level 2
