After more than a decade working in the City as a Finance Lawyer, Kim decided to change paths to pursue her passion for training as a CrossFit and Personal Trainer.
Kim has been involved in sport in various guises for most of her life, discovering CrossFit in 2012 at CrossFit Central London. Whilst enjoying a wide variety of types and approaches to training, Kim has a particular fondness for kettlebells, regarding them as one of the most effective, time efficient training tools available.
When not coaching or training others, Kim is most likely to be training (herself), reading (about training), napping or binge watching a box set.
First WOD: My first WOD was ‘Fran’. I remember having to use a band for the pull-ups and finding them tough (just getting into the band!!), but thinking the thrusters weren’t too bad
Favourite WOD: I don’t really have a favourite. I like wall balls so ‘Karen’ is good. Similarly, I like rowing, thrusters and pull-ups, so ‘Jackie’ is good too. Then again, give me a WOD with kettlebells in it, and I’ll be happy!
Least Favourite WOD: Pretty much anything with double unders. Fair to say they’re my nemesis. Stupid, I know!!
What is your guilty pleasure? ‘collecting’ kettlebells and training equipment
What is your favourite wind-down or relaxation? Cup of tea, while watching my latest box set obsession.
What is your biggest achievement? Moving countries in 2001 to pursue my legal career, then leaving law in 2013 to pursue my training career.Kim currently holds the following qualifications and certifications:
