The kettlebell is a cast-iron or steel weight (resembling a cannonball with a handle) used to perform functional, compound exercises which may be used to build and enhance cardiovascular capacity, strength, power, endurance and flexibility, particularly in the lower back, legs, and shoulders as well as increasing grip strength.
Our classes will focus on improving (or learning) proper technique, strength development and conditioning through the use of kettlebell based WODs.
The Kettlebell Class will provide a structured environment with clear goals, where you can learn new skills and freshen up your workout routine. It’s also the place to come if you want to improve your Kettlebell lifting (Jerks, Snatches, Cleans, Swings, Turkish-Get-Ups, windmills – the list goes on); develop your overhead and core stability; strength and cardio-vascular endurance; or just want an addition to your CrossFit training, this could be the class for you.
Please note: Regrettably the Kettlebell WOD Class is not a Beginner’s Class, it is suitable for anyone who has graduated to WOD Classes or has previous kettlebell experience.
